Well, we made it through July 4th. Its been really strange weather. Its still been cool, more aptly put cold. It rained July 3rd, so I'm sure that made the firefighters happy. On the fourth we had a slight drizzle, but not much. And so it was cool, not really warm. Today, the 7th, it still hasn't really warmed up. Hopefully it will. They said we should have warm weather this week. I'm hoping they are right. It would be nice. Friday, 7/11 is the start of the sales of the new iPhone 3G. I'm not sure if I will be in line to get one or not. They have not yet said much about how they are going to handle these sales. But the rumors are bouncing around like balls about how they will handle it. Some rumors say they will be open early, like 8AM. Some rumors say they will only allow one per person, who knows. But dear hubby may be the one waiting and standing in line for them. We do want to get them for each of us. But we'll see what they will allow us to do...

Hope spring is coming
The past two nights have been cold - mid 20's cold. Last night we got down to 25, but today we're up to 53 already. Hopefully that's the last of the cold. We went to Lowe's today, and it appears someone didn't cover their peppers and tomatoes well. They had them out in pots, and they drooped from the ground level over. The poor things looked like they froze last night. They may have. The only things we seemed to lose were the asparagus. But we do have some more asparagus popping up. The seeds I had put out in the green house are just now coming up. At least the tomato seeds have sprouted, the peppers didn't so I have put out more pepper seeds. I also have filled another set of seeds out in another flat in the green house - peppers, tomatoes and endive. I should start some of the other plants like the watermelons and such. I might do that this weekend. The 10-day forecast shows weather getting warm. I hope that's accurate.
Another cold front came thru last night. At 5PM yesterday we were at 40 degrees, it was downhill since then. We've been at freezing or below since 9PM. And we've been at 22/23 degrees since about 6AM today. Its now 10:30 AM and its still 22/23 degrees. The weather is just hovering between the two temps. Though the good news is its been more in the 23 degree mark. At this rate we'll be able to grow apples in this region easily. It has definitely been a cold winter here. Its now after 1:30 PM and we've only hit 25. I won't bet on making it to 40 today. And our low for tonight is supposed to be 27/28 degrees. We'll have to warm up to make that! Okay, at 5PM we still only made it to a high today of 28, still below freezing. They say we should still be a low tonight of 27/28. That would mean the temperature should be steady from now thru the night. We'll see if that happens. I'm betting on another cold ...
